The deadline for the application and work samples is April 28, 2010 (5pm PT).
Please review the requirements for the online application before selecting a discipline.
Selecting a Discipline:
Although we understand that many artists work in interdisciplinary modes, we ask that you apply under one discipline. Panelists have a broad range of knowledge and are chosen for their openness to the fluid ways in which many artists work. However, when choosing a discipline, you should consider the context in which your work is usually presented and what selection panel might have the best appreciation of your work. Panelists change every year and serve confidentially until the announcement of the awards. You can find information about previous panelists at www.unitedstatesartists.org.
After clicking on your chosen discipline, you will find out about the work samples you should submit as part of your application.
The Application Includes:
- Contact information
- Artist statement
- Resume (not to exceed 2 pages)
- Work samples
- Electronic acknowledgement and certification
Required Formatting for Materials:
We accept paper copy applications, but prefer that you complete the application online to make this process as effective and efficient as possible. However, if you need a paper copy application, please contact us.
