Dominique Serrand

Dominique Serrand co-founded Theatre de la Jeune Lune in Minneapolis in 1979, directing, producing, designing, and acting in most of the company’s productions. His versatile and wide-ranging skills have been showcased in numerous productions over the past 27 years, including such works as The Kitchen, Lulu, The Miser, The Little Prince, and Amerika, or the Disappearance. He has most recently directed a number of opera productions, including Carmen, The Magic Flute, and Giovannias well as other classical theater productions, such as Hamlet, Molière’sImaginary Invalid, and several Greek tragedies. Serrand has toured works to venues such as the Berkeley Repertory Theatre, the La Jolla Playhouse, and the American Repertory Theatre. The Theatre de la Jeune Lune received a Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre in 2005. Serrand has been knighted by the French government in the order of arts and letters.
