Mia Katigbak is the artistic producing director and cofounder of the award-winning, New York–based National Asian American Theatre Company (NAATCO), with whom she has acted extensively. In New York, Katigbak has acting credits with LCT3, New York Theatre Workshop, WP, New Georges, Transport Group, and many others. Regionally, she has worked with Yale Repertory, Long Wharf, TheaterWorks (Hartford, CT), TheatreSquared (Fayetteville, AR), and Humana Festival at the Actors Theatre of Louisville, among others. Her many television credits include How to Get Away With Murder (ABC), The Sinner (USA), Chicago PD (NBC), The Mysteries of Laura (NBC), and The Family (ABC).
She is a TCG Fox Foundation Resident Actor Fellow for Distinguished Achievement. Her many recognitions include a Drama Desk Special Award, an Otto René Castillo Award for Political Theatre, an NYIT Award for Artistic Achievement, a Lilly Award in Trailblazing, and an Obie for her performance in NAATCO’s Awake and Sing!
She was a founding director of the Consortium of Asian American Theaters & Artists (CAATA), serving as president of its first board. Katigbak holds a BA from Barnard College and an MA from Columbia University.
