My practice reflects the deep interconnection between human experience, built environments, evolving technologies, historical narratives, and the concept of futurity. It explores the intricate relationships shaping our existence, questioning how we find order in the chaos of an ever-changing world.”

X is a multidisciplinary artist and technologist specializing in land, architectural, and new media installation. Their work illuminates the liminal space between the ancestral plane and our accelerating post-human world. X’s work has been exhibited and acquired internationally including the Chicago Architecture Biennial, Counterpublic Biennial, Assembly Biennial, Pacific Standard Time, Museum of Contemporary Native Art, Ars Electronica, Field Museum, Autry Museum, MOCA Arlington, and the MCA Chicago. X has collaborated with various notable entities and brands like Nike and For Freedoms, and they are a 3Arts, E(art)H, and Joyce Foundation Award Winner. In 2020, they were commissioned by the US State Department as lead artist of The American Arts Incubator, where they traveled to Brazil during COVID-19 lockdowns and conducted workshops culminating in a virtual reality world building exhibition, entitled PORTAL. They received an M.Arch from the University of Southern California and an MFA in Art and Technology from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. X is an enrolled citizen of the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana and Indigenous CHamoru from the Island of Guam.
